We will meet again on January 10th for our bi-annual reorganization caucus.
Please join us for our informal meet-up on Tuesday, Jan 6th, 6PM at Colonial Beach Brewing!
Our committee membership is for two years at a time.
When you apply to join, you are stepping up to learn more about the people behind the initiatives that make Westmoreland County a better place for everyone.
Membership dues are $25/year.
After submitting your application, you will see an option to pay your dues via ActBlue. Payment by cash or check at an in-person meeting is also an option.
We will reach out to invite you to our next membership meeting where you will be voted in and welcomed as our newest member!
Our committee relies on volunteer leadership and that means YOU!
If you're interested in stepping up to help run the show, please take a look at the positions and their descriptions and apply for as many as you think would make you happy.
First, you need to join the Committee, so make sure you have applied for membership prior to submitting your intent to run for an Officer position.
After submitting your intent to run for a leadership role, you will receive an email with further instructions and next steps based on which position(s) you want.

Join us Tuesday, September 2nd, at Colonial Beach Brewing as we gather to socialize, share our experiences and news from across the county. Bring details to share about demonstrations (aka "protests") that you know about or other ways that we - as Democrats - can engage in the work that needs to be done in response to what's happening in Washington, DC.
PLEASE NOTE THE NEW START TIME OF 6:00PM!

The Westmoreland Democratic Committee (WDC) is an official organization of the Democratic Party of Virginia, with a number of key legal responsibilities in carrying out the nomination and election laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The WDC is comprised of representatives from each precinct in the county. Those who serve on the WDC as committee officers, precinct captains, and party and campaign workers are all volunteers.
We are an energetic, dedicated and diverse group of volunteers working hard to elect Democrats at all levels of government.

We’re fighting for a brighter, more equal future: rolling up our sleeves and organizing everywhere to build a better America for all.
We strive to ensure that every person is given the opportunity for a fair shot. We recognize that this requires hard work to establish equity in all affairs.

Together, we can address the problems that seem unmanageable to any one person. We work together for the common good throughout our area.

We learn by listening and give each person the opportunity to share. Only by understanding those we do not know can we truly support them when they need us.

Our events are opportunities for citizens of Chesterfield County to come together and talk about the issues that matter most to us. We regularly welcome candidates and elected leaders from our local area up to the national level to join us and stay connected.

As the local affiliate of the National Democratic Party, the Westmoreland Democratic Committee works to both further the mission of the national party throughout our community while also representing the needs of our constituents to our elected leaders.
